Christa L. Sullivan
Christa Sullivan’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, primarily in the areas of oil and gas and commercial law. Her energy litigation experience includes the representation clients in a variety of disputes and transactions involving oil and gas lease, operating agreements, conveyances, and other common contracts used in the industry. This experience includes midstream litigation involving the marketing, sale and processing of natural gas and related purchase contract analysis under the UCC and statutory and regulatory directives. In addition to her energy practice, Christa represents clients in commercial litigation involving disputes related to real estate contracts, easement and right-of-way, and banking and lending agreements. She has also prosecuted shareholder actions involving closely held, private entities.
Christa also represents clients on business, financial, and real estate transactions. Her transactional practice includes representation of: local, regional and national commercial and residential developers in the purchase and sale of property, lending, and leasing; and, national and regional lenders in securitized loan transactions, portfolio financings and other commercial lending transactions.
Prior to joining ELB, Christa began her career in 1997 with a large international law firm in Kansas City, MO before returning to Oklahoma City, OK where she continued in private practice and later as Assistant General Counsel for a large banking institution. Christa maintains the highest Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent Attorney Recognition (“AV”) rating for skills and ethics based on professional peer reviews.
Christa has been a speaker in numerous continuing legal education seminars during her career on various real estate topics, including landlord leasing issues, IRS Section 1031 exchanges and construction contracts.
